There's no such thing as being Over-Educated

A month counting down to the end of my 16 years of 'formal' education, and many have asked me the following:

Do you regret anything about university life?
Definitely, also dreaming about the what-ifs and what-nots.
Though I consider myself blessed with good schoolmates and 'lucky' opportunities! :)

Are you looking forward to graduation?
Unfortunately no.
Perhaps because I have not secured a job and foresee myself as a professional bummer.
I have also begun to be wistfully envious of my juniors and the happy-go-lucky school years they get to enjoy...

A post on my aunt's facebook page  - http://www.edvantage.com.sg/edvantage/news/news/1678648/Americans_wish_they_had_studied_networked_more_in_college_poll.html also prompte this deep recollection of  my 4 years in university. Agreed, I wish I studied harder, partied harder, widened networks and accomplished more! Cannot deny that this re-looking into the past had set off some depressing bouts of self-pitying - watching Eat Pray Love hammered this further (guess I have yet to outgrow the emo teenage phase)

Today, I want to pull myself together - not crumble and whine about the loss of these times, but start afresh by working harder, partying harder, widening networks and accomplishing more in my new role as a soon-to-be graduate!

As part of accomplishing more, I am learning about investment instruments - starting with REITS! I attended my very 1st event of NTU Investment Club on an introduction to REITS by ReitsWeek - http://www.facebook.com/ReitsWeek. Will share more in the next post :)
